Nades and myself decided to drop off the team SR-25 off to Frank and have him finish building it.
Several members had expressed interest in building or buying a sniper for the team. I remembered I had half of a G&G SR-25 so I decided to donate it to the team.
Knowing the work Frank does and the fact that the team was taking too long to start work on the SR-25, we decided to drop it off and have him build it.
We can expect one of the best, if not the best sniper rifles on any field we play on. Since this is designated as a team gun, team funds will be used to pay for it.
As a means of raising funds for the team for things like this, we will start collecting for the team fund. If you recall, Nades had posted awhile back in the Members Section about initiation dues and yearly dues, as well as several other things for raising team funds. Please refer back to that post for details.
This is just a suggestion, and I would like some input.

I like the idea having team funds available, this can speed up the process on anything the team want to do, but before we start collecting money from members, we need to detail the process, where, what, when, who, how of the funds can be use.
I suggest if the amount is 1)Less the $100, any 2 senior members can exercise the funds. 2)$100 - $500, 2 seniors and a member can exercise the funds. 3)$500 or more, majority of the team members need to approve.
I also suggest someone to track the spending, monthly audit. Receipt must turn to the bookkeeper for logging. All members reserve a right to audit spending at anytime.

Hack, let me clarify the questions you have.
Who: as of right now, I have been keeping the funds. The though did occur to open up a bank acct., but that would mean someones SSN would need to be used. And I don't like the idea of doing that.
What: this fund would be used primarily for bulk buying things for team first, then having members reimburst the team; BBs, spare parts, wiring/plugs, team guns, patches, business cards, website, etc.
Where: like I said, currently I'm holding the money.
When: this should happen as soon as possible.
Why: As our team grows, it only makes sense to do something like this to aid in the growth/expansion of the team.
How: These fees would be collected as I outlined in my last post.
The suggestion on how the funds may be used are good, and I like it. I think that could be adopted.
As for the last question you had, that has already been done. Just go to the team funds post in the members area.
I hope this more than answers your questions.

Well we talked to Frank the head Tech at GI and he told us its not worth building these version SR-25 G&G put out. For a while GI stop selling G&G guns reason being poor quality. We are looking into building a team sniper soon. We will keep you posted. As for now the SR-25 will NOT get done.

We should ask him what the best aeg platform is(the one that requires the least modification) then look into that.

We did and they had suggested a KWA M16. The gun would go for $315 and mods for $30. So around $350 for a kick butt sniper.

That was a suggestion of course. Depends on what the team likes and wants. Something we need to figure out next team meeting.

well, we could put a pretty rad rail on that m16 and probably put that psg1 barrel in as well with a silencer... and pmags!!!
im ok with an m16 based sniper. because the majority of us have M based guns anyway it would be a logical choice for mags, spare parts, etc.
did he give any reason why the KWA m16 was the best aeg sniper platform???

That was the first one he suggested. He being a techk I'm sure would know why. We plan on going this weekend so that is something I plan to ask and do some homework on.

One of the reasons, is that I would require the least amount of modifications. If I remember correctly, Frank said something about the gun being able to shoot "hot" without that much being done to the gun. This was instead of spending about the same amount of $$$ for upgrading the SOC 16. w/o rails w/ rails
