Alright all, you know the routine...time to discuss this game.
Let me first start by saying a few things. One, I think the refs are a whole lot better under this new manager. At the beginning of the day (or evening as the case may be) the rules were explained to great detail, which many may dislike, but I appreciate it.
Second, I like how the field is setup, big change from the old, tired layout of AP.
Third, the place was actually clean, and didn't have a funky smell... Those that were there before know what I'm talking about.
Now let's get to the important stuff...
The level of play has increased, a little bit. However, still very much a "paint-soft" style of play. Lots of force-on-force plays (last one we played in was a force-on-force medic game). Didn't see many cheaters or much cheating going on. Refs seem to be on top of there game, especially know since they have an elevated position to observe from.
Overall, the place is turning around for the better (IMHO), but one thing there still bugs me...and that's Sunny (the new owner).
I overheard one of my team members talking to him as we were leaving. He was asking Sunny what it would cost to rent the entire place out. Now we've tried this before, and we were disappointed, but hey, new management, things could change right? Well, Sunny told my teammate that he wouldn't be able to afford it!
What kind of BS is that? If he's expecting to get business, then he's going to have to learn to stop being a thingy and jerk!
Safe to say, its going to be awhile before I come back to Tac City...sorry Quick, special events maybe, but not a regular day.
