Review- Blackhawk MOLLE patrol Belt-
Summer is coming to a close so this on face value is a review on a product that you might think would be put on the shelf and not used for a year, but after using this equipment I feel differently.
Now I love my CIRAS for large outdoor games, and certain Jericho engagements because it provides you enough room to really go the distance in terms of both ammo, water, food etc. But for 95% of the games most airsofters play, this patrol belt (and soft armor if you want to look official) is more than enough to get the job done. What’s more, when fully loaded with water and gear is about ½ the weight of a loaded CIRAS, and has no impact on your mobility or upper body dexterity.
For certain airsoft missions this belt is your best solution. Any kind of 2 hour or less sniper mission, recon mission, or patrol mission, this is for you. It gives you enough MOLLE for 6 M16 mags (in double stacker pouches), a radio pouch, an ID pouch, a Pistol holster, pistol mag pouches, and a nalgene bottle-utility pouch.
Fitment on this belt was a bit of a chore the first time around, making sure the extra belt tails had a home and were stowed properly. But once this was completed, the belt’s width, materials and double latching buckle make sure this puppy stays put without needing shoulder straps or suspenders even when loaded down.
Summed up this is a cool and cheap alternative to the CIRAS, LBV or other plate carrier for the summer months, and a useful piece of gear for specific missions all year round. I can guarantee that I will be wearing this though the winter on warmer days and smaller local games where the velocity is restricted.
