Apr. 9~11, OP Lion Claws IX -
SoCal Extreme MOUT Experience
Whittier, CA.
Col. McKnight vs. Sgt. Dobroff.
Unlike previous LC experience, this is a MOUT environment with barracks, jails, cafeteria, neighborhood streets, burnt cars, in addition to a maximum security prison structure for night op.
For obvious reasons, numbers will be limited (even less than IRENE). This is an unique ONE-OF type AO as it is being SOLD to developers as we speak (hence moving LC up from May to Apr. )
As we know, real estate deals could potentially fall through, but if we wait till May and the deal goes through, we would have missed an awesome opportunity. We were given the Apr. 9~11, opportunity so we took it.
(this date may moved up to Mar. 19~21 depending on its escrow status..a rare ONE-OF opportunity)
limit to 300 pax max.
filming Foreigners welcome
===============MAJOR UPDATE!==================
AO has been announced: maps.google.com/maps?t=h&q=33.975974,-118.050982&ie=UTF8&ll=33.975974,-118.050982&spn=0.010392,0.01929&z=16
This means that LC IX is still on for Memorial Day Weekend!

Troops,
Pls SPREAD THE WORD that the WHITTIER AO is not for "events" but for "filming" only. Like all film related project, a series of permits and financial expectation to benefit local economy must be met.
Due to the location, SoCal players are encouraged to go home and return in the morning...EARLY EARLY morning, by 0645...YOU KNOW there WILL BE A LINE checking everyone AGAIN by Whittier PD.
Folks who wish to camp, the big football field is suitable for camping (with Port-a-Pottie and etc., the usual). Food service will be on site, no "walking across the street to eat than come back" scenario. Lock down means lock down.
This property has been filming since 2004 so folks in the are are well aware of loud noises, bangs and smokes, not an issue. (we play it by the book so folks are informed as per procedure).
This is NOT a run-down AO, hence, respect to property is expected. In fact, there is a State certified Historical Landmark on site that which we must cover and protect.
As for indoor fighting, it will be PISTOLS only while INDOORS just like Operation IRENE 2008 at MUTC.
For those who experienced it, you know that's the most realistic, intense CQB fight you ever had. No more IDIOTIC blind-firing nor IDIOTIC spray-n-pray inside; it's now a professional's game.....ONE-SHOT-ONE-KILL.
Night Op will be a TEAM CHALLENGE type scenario including a Stand-Alone large modern prison building.
More to come.......
This means that LC IX is still on for Memorial Day Weekend!
